I'm back on the internet?!

I feel like I've given myself enough time away. Isolating myself was in many ways restraining my dreams of doing indie game development, and I just didn't see the worth in continuing to do so when it is within my power to prove that I've become a much better (takeaway: more self aware and socially aware) person. My IRL friends, counsellors, and family have all helped me out and seen the progress I made toward ameliorating my problematic behaviors and attaining a more mature mental attitude. It's now a matter of continuing to act on these improvements, treat everyone with respect, and being as best a person I can as I move forward.

I will always give my apologies to the communities and individuals on Scratch whom I've affected negatively through my actions and words. Now, I have no intentions of returning to the Scratch community (or the associated diaspora on discord) and am at a point where I'm comfortably moving on from these circles. It is up to each individual who I've affected whether they should forgive/reach out to me or not. Frankly I don't judge if you're not ready or will never be ready to forgive, nor if you don't feel comfortable sharing. I'm moving on and I've not let other's opinions have agency over my decisions.

Should you decide that you want to follow up on my current/future works, know that I will no longer be active on NG or most of my old accounts, as I do not associate with monikers (i.e. "AK," "AKJanklin," "ArcanisHD," etc.) that represent an outdated version of myself. For now I maintain a presence on my itch, and from here on out will refer to myself as "Respite." I'll do my best to let you know over there if anything changes.

Hi, it's me again

I've been working (and reworking) a metroidvania game on Scratch called "Homecome - Butterfly Dreams," meant to be a prequel to the platformer "Homecome - Creatures of the Night." I tried to port the latter to NG and thank goodness I didn't end up porting it, because the gameplay kinda sucks lol

Main point: how many people would care for me to release HBD on NG? And if so should I post a "definitive" edition of HCotN along with it?

Probably worth noting that both are pretty story-driven and have original soundtracks.

Heyall, I'm still sorta new to this whole dealio, so cut me a bit of slack.

So a while ago I think I said I'd make music for a FNF mod or something, and I got a contact from some friends on Scratch saying that they want to make a mod for it (@Levy2007, @Meekaryo, @The_Updator, etc). I've already completed all the tracks and I'm super stoked to see the final product B)

This week will be called "AK's Levels," or "FNFAL" for short (thank you to an irl friend for the idea). No, the character is not a gunslinger like Pico, but rather they're based on my main OC from Scratch. It wasn't necessarily planned to be this way, but I'm glad nonetheless. I'll send pics if I get permission from Updator.

If you have Scratch, follow these people if you haven't already (pretty hard not to be lol). I'm here to ask yall if you want me to post the music early on NG?

Ok, so maybe it's not so secret, but I did mention in the description of my Heartmaker Remaster that there was a game on Scratch that I worked on for ages. Part of that development came an original soundtrack, featuring short 1-2 min loops of songs from different genres, including lo-fi, future bass, piano, etc.

The game is called "Genesis Rebels - Crossover Combat." It's an RPG fighting game, and nothing in the game makes sense unless you're a faithful member of the Scratch community. Here's a link.

Not that any of yall care about the game anyways. But here's the question I want to ask you guys, should I post the Original Soundtrack on Newgrounds? It's already there on my Youtube, but I was wondering if you guys would be willing to listen here? idk
